- I went to visit Sarah and Jason in Michigan for the weekend.
- Ross and the girls flew their kites for the first time in a while.
- I dyed my hair for the first time in over a year.
Thurs - Feb 5 - Not much went on today. Mostly spent recovering from the busy-ness of yesterday.
Fri - Feb 6 - Lilly had a rough night (up in the middle of it) so she slept in later than usual and I spent the quiet time packing for going to Sarah and Jason's. I dropped her off at Melissa's with Mom at 2:30 and left there to go to Michigan. It took about 5.5. hours to get there and I only stopped once. I arrived around 8 and then we chatted and had a really late dinner (Vitale's). I had some delicious pizza. We also watched a bit of Pitch Perfect just for laughs and background noise. At home Mom had met Bella at the house with Lilly and then took them to McDonald's for dinner so Ross could have some quiet time before she returned them at 6:30.
Sat - Feb 7 - We got up and had a nice breakfast. Then we went to Home Depot to return some things they had and I got a spare key made for my van (4.5 years later! Ha!). Then we went to the mall to shop for nothing in particular. I bought a pair of Nike's that were really soft on my feet. I think they will help my foot issues. Sarah got some stuff as did Jason and I was reminded of my love of bookstores at Barnes 'N' Noble. I need to get back to one sooner. Then we went and got a late lunch at Texas Roadhouse. I had ribs and a sweet potato. Yummy! Then we went back home and chilled out for a while. Sarah and I went out later to Walmart to get food for breakfast on Sunday and then to Walgreens to get nail polish and hair dye. And then to Culvers to get an ice cream treat. Back home we watched Anchorman and ate our ice cream and leftovers from lunch and last night's dinner.
Sun - Feb 8 - I got up before Sarah and Jason and dyed my hair. It was the first time since fall 2013 and I think it turned out well. I used Nice & Easy number 5. Then we had a big breakfast (eggs, bacon, French toast) and basically hung out the rest of the time I was there. Jason had to do some homework, but he stayed around and we enjoyed chatting together. I tried to leave earlier but it's hard when I know it will be a while before I see them again. So I ended up leaving around 4. I got home at 9:30, but I went through some terrible fog between Celina and Eaton. It was a little freaky and slow there for a while. But I made good time anyway. Ross had taken the girls out to fly their kites for the first time in a while during the afternoon because Fairfield had great weather.
Mon - Feb 9 - Most of the day today was spent cleaning up and catching up on laundry. The house wasn't too bad when I got home yesterday, but things needed to be put away. In the evening I worked with Bella on a schedule so she would see how much time she had verses things she had to do. Like she gets home at 4:30 and has to go to her bedroom at 8:30 so she had 8 half hour time slots to fill with bath, dinner, homework and then TV. It helped her understand her timeline a little better and she realized she did have about 2 hours for TV which made her feel a little better.
Tues - Feb 10 - Today Lilly and I met Melissa, Nate, Eli, Mom and our friends Kelley and Tana at Pisanello's in Franklin for lunch. It took about 40 minutes to get there and we were there almost 2 hours so it wiped out most of our day. But we managed to get in a couple loads of laundry and dishwashing/tiding up done. In the evening we had our monthly PTC meeting.
Wed - Feb 11 - Lilly and I managed to get to church in the morning to set up for Gospel Project. Which was good because it meant I could relax in the afternoon. In the evening I found out that two of our workers couldn't make it so I had to spend some time making sure their jobs were covered. It was busy and I was glad when we got back home.
