- 2 more snow days (number 5 & 6 now).
- Went to Mom's for dinner.
- Had our biggest snowfall so far this season on Saturday.
- We made lemon poppyseed muffins with a homemade glaze.
- Had a proper Sunday roast that Dad was here for.
- Tried Sweet & Sour Chicken Helper to much success!
Thur - Feb 19 - It was another snow day today due to low temps. The visitation and funeral for my cousin Tracy was today, so I bundled up the girls and went to the visitation. Thankfully Emily and Rosetta were there to help me out with the kids while I gave my condolences. Then the girls got McDonald's for lunch since they behaved well enough. We spent the day playing and watching TV. Thankfully I got out to Kroger before Ross left this morning so we had a few treats - donuts for the girls and some fresh fruit for us all.
Fri - Feb 20 -Yet another snow day! Bella is excited to have had the whole week off of school. It's been fine for me, but if we had known we would've taken a trip somewhere! Oh well. It's been a good week. Today we played and cleaned up and then in the evening we all went to Mom's for dinner to hear all about her mission trip to Belize. It was fun to catch up with her and hang out in a different house for the evening.
Sat - Feb 21 - Today we woke up to a snowfall. It was coming down and it kept coming down until around 4pm. Thankfully it was finally warm enough (nearing 30 degrees F) that we could let the kids get out in it and play while we shoveled. Our snow blower is broken right now so we need to get that fixed. But it wasn't too bad shoveling and we got some exercise with that. We stayed home the whole day though and just relaxed and read when we weren't outside. Bella also got to play with our neighbor Julia for a while. And I called my dad since today is his birthday!
Sun - Feb 22 - Bella, Lilly and I went to church and then brought McDonald's home for the girls while Ross and I ate leftovers. In the afternoon Ross made some lemon poppyseed muffins from a mix we had picked up at Krogers. I found a recipe online for a lemon glaze to put on top and it turned out delicious! Then Dad came over and we invited him to stay for dinner since Ross was going to do a proper roast. Also super delicious and super filling! We had a really nice weekend.
Mon - Feb 23 - Bella went back to school today, finally! I thought because of cold temps that they may cancel or at least have a delay, but they didn't. I think she was mostly glad to be getting back to it and seeing her friends and her teacher. Nothing really notable happened during the day. We tried a new Hamburger Helper dish. This time it was Sweet & Sour Chicken Helper. It was delicious and we will definitely do this one again. In the evening I went to Melissa's to get some things from Mom and return some things to Melissa. And I got to snuggle with Eli! :)
Tues - Feb 24 - Today was not my best day. I tried to go to church to set up for Gospel Project early and I couldn't find anyone to let me in. I was really upset and set the tone for my mood the rest of the day. I'm not proud of that. I did let the girls play in the snow again after school since it was warm enough. I had to shovel in front of the mail box because the post office said there was too much snow in front of it for them to be able to deliver our mail. So hopefully I did a good enough job. And mom came over in the evening to visit, though I'm not sure my mood (and the girls hyper activity) made it a very good visit.
Wed - Feb 25 - Lilly and I went to church and since I had a lot to do there today I brought Frozen and let her watch that while I got stuff done. We were there for about 2 hours. And then we went home and played and relaxed. After school Bella went out to the field and played in the school with Brantley and Moe from down the street. And then she grabbed dinner on the way to church and we went to our class.
