Feb 12 - 18

Notable things of the week:
  • Lilly and I went to Bella's school for Star Card Cart.
  • Bella had her school dance - Candyland Theme!
  • We made cupcakes as a family for Valentine's day!
  • I cut about 4 inches off of Bella's hair.
  • Started using iTrackBites again with Sarah.
  • We had 2 more snow days.

Thur - Feb 12 -Today was mostly recovery from last night. Tidying up the house and whatnot and then enjoying the evening together. My mom Facetimed with me in the late evening since she left for a mission trip in Belize today. It was nice to see and hear her and to know she landed safely.

Fri - Feb 13 - I had to run the star card cart at Bella's school again today. And since my mom wasn't around I took Lilly with me. She did better than I expected, though she was ready to go home halfway through it. We had fun and then afterwards we tried to go to our local park but could only stay about 15 minutes because it was colder than I thought (around 21 Fahrenheit). Then we relaxed in the afternoon until it was time for Bella and I to go to her school dance. The dance theme was "Candyland" and it was decorated really well. The kids had a blast and Bella got to do the VIP dance on stage 3 times. She was thrilled with that! We stayed and helped clean up afterwards and it was 9:30 before we got home, but it was really fun.

Sat - Feb 14 - Lilly had another morning where she was up from 4:45 - 6:30 or so. She went back to bed but unfortunately that meant I also missed that sleep. And then Bella was in our room around 8 ready to wake up. But after everyone was awake we gave the girls their Valentines - a coloring book, other books, candy and a small stuffed doll (Anna for Bella, Elsa for Lilly). I gave Ross his present which was a Star Wars book that makes paper aircraft from the movie, a stuffed Darth Vader and some Ferrero Rocher chocolates. He had given me my present before last weekend which was a box of gourmet chocolate covered Oreos. It's dark chocolate so I'm still working on them! They are delicious. We skyped with Pat as usual. We made cupcakes together as a family in the afternoon - vanilla topped with strawberry icing. And then we just spent the evening together as a family.

Sun - Feb 15 - Bella, Lilly and I went to church while Ross went out gaming. We picked up McDonald's for lunch as usual. Then the girls and I relaxed for the afternoon. At 4:30 we went to my Dad's house to celebrate his 62nd birthday. We had a good time catching up with everyone and the kids enjoyed playing with their cousins.

Mon - Feb 16 - Today is Presidents Day so everyone is home. It's snowing and the roads aren't great, but Ross went out to the gym this morning and he also went to see a movie around noon. The kids are watching TV, doing homework and doing chores. We gave the kids baths in the evening and I cut Bella's hair. She's been begging to have it shoulder length for a while now, so I chopped off about 4 inches. She loves it, thankfully! Oh, and also my sister Sarah and I started tracking our food with an app called iTrackBites. We've done it before, but not for a while, and have found it helpful for eating better. For me the first three days doing this is always the worst. I feel like I'm starving until my stomach shrinks down to a reasonable size. I'm not starving though (just in case you were worried). I got plenty of food in today. Just not as much snacking/grazing as I'm used to, which is the key to my weight problem.

Tues - Feb 17 - They called school off today by early last night. So only Ross had to go out today. We3 didn't do much but hang out and enjoy the day together.

Wed - Feb 18 - School's off again! And we got to spend the day together again today. It was fun but we're getting a bit stir crazy. We also didn't have church either so it was truly a day in!
